Screen Time: Discussing Technology and Mental Health

Although technology has been instrumental in task efficiency and social connection, the overuse of tech has its drawbacks. Prolonged exposure to screens, particularly social media, can lead to individuals comparing themselves to others online. Furthermore, the addictive nature of technology can disrupt sleep patterns, contribute to a sedentary lifestyle, and inhibit face-to-face social interactions. On the positive side, when used mindfully, screens can offer valuable resources for mental health support, social connection, and access to therapeutic tools.
